The Making of
Our work with WonderWorks over the past several years gave us a lot of experience building, soldering, solving problems, and sourcing unusual electronic components.
The idea for a more approachable synthesizer began to germinate in 2022. Parker began sketching designs and thinking about all the features he would want to make sure to preserve in my ideal synthesizer. And more importantly, how to distill all those features down to just a few controls that would feel approachable to anybody.
With support, insight, input, and valued mentorship from friends, family, and the music & makers communities here in Atlanta, we worked on a series of prototypes over the next several years.
The result is something that we are very proud of, and very excited to share. WonderSynth is so much fun to play with, and has such a unique personality as an instrument. Parker, along with several musician friends, has spent many hours beyond developing it, just playing with it and exploring its soundscapes. We hope it brings much joy to many others! (:
