"WonderBox XL"
2024

WonderBox XL - the biggest WonderBox to-date. This piece took over a year between inception and completion, then it sat in a storage unit for a while because we had nowhere to put it. Inspired by the smaller WonderBox process, we always wanted to do a really big one. When making batches of faceplates for Juniors and OG-size pieces, we would mill a dozen on one big sheet of plywood, then cut them apart. The sheet that came off the machine looked like one huge one, so eventually, we made a huge one. This is the same size as our Mother Lode, Athens Installation, just rotated 90°, and we were working on them around the same time, so they're siblings in that way.
