WonderBox XL, 2024
This piece took over a year between inception and completion, then it sat in a storage unit for a while because we had nowhere to put it.
We always wanted to do a really big one, because when we would make batches of faceplates for the smaller ones, we'd mill like a dozen on one big sheet of plywood, then cut them apart. But the sheet that came off the machine looked like one huge one, so eventually we made a huge one.
This is the same size as our Mother Lode, Athens Installation, just rotated 90°, and we were working on them around the same time, so they're siblings in that way.
This piece has sold.
